Private nursing provides professional nursing support for individuals who need care outside of a traditional healthcare setting. At Adaptive Homecare, our nurses deliver attentive, one-on-one care based on each client’s unique needs, preferences, and care plan. Private nursing services may include nursing assessment and monitoring, medication management, wound care, injections and IV therapy, post-hospital and post-surgical care, support for chronic or serious illness, and other nursing services. Care can be arranged across a range of timeframes and frequencies, from intermittent visits to around-the-clock care.
Private nursing may benefit individuals who need professional nursing support beyond a traditional healthcare setting. This may include people recovering after a hospitalization, surgery, or medical procedure; those managing chronic, serious, or complex health needs; individuals living with dementia or other memory-related conditions; clients receiving hospice or end-of-life care; or anyone who would benefit from attentive, one-on-one nursing support at home or wherever care is needed.
Every person’s needs are different. Adaptive Homecare can speak with you about your current situation, health needs, goals, preferences, and care environment to help determine which services, level of support, and schedule may be appropriate. We will explain available options and help you identify next steps for care.
24/7 private nursing may be appropriate when a client needs continuous professional support, close monitoring, or help managing complex or changing health needs. This level of care may be especially helpful after a major hospitalization or procedure, for individuals with advanced illness or dementia, or when families want the reassurance of having an experienced nurse present throughout the day and night.
Private nursing can help individuals living with dementia or other memory-related conditions remain safer and more comfortable in familiar surroundings while providing families with experienced professional support. Depending on each client’s needs, care may include nursing assessment and monitoring, medication management, assistance with daily routines, safety and fall prevention support, communication with family members and healthcare providers, and support as health, cognitive, or behavioral needs change.
Yes. Adaptive Homecare can provide private nursing support for clients receiving hospice or end-of-life care, working alongside hospice providers to complement the care already in place. Our nurses can provide an added layer of attentive, personalized support focused on comfort, medication assistance, monitoring for changes in condition, personal care needs, and communication with hospice teams, healthcare providers, and family members.
Yes. Adaptive Homecare nurses can provide case management to help clients and families navigate complex medical needs and coordinate care across providers, appointments, services, and care settings. This high-touch support may include communication with healthcare providers and family members, appointment coordination, support during medical visits, help understanding care plans, proactive nursing oversight, and assistance maintaining continuity as needs change.
Yes. If you are staying in the Greater Boston area, Adaptive Homecare can provide private nursing support in settings beyond the home, including hotels or other accommodations. This may be helpful for clients who are traveling for medical care, recovering near a hospital or surgical center, staying locally before returning home, or managing complex health needs while away from their usual care environment. Nursing care can be arranged to provide discreet, personalized support wherever care is needed within the Greater Boston area.
At-home physical and/or occupational therapy may be helpful after surgery, injury, illness, or a hospital stay, or when a client is having difficulty with strength, balance, walking, mobility, pain, or daily movement. Therapy is provided one-on-one in the home, allowing treatment to focus on the client’s specific goals and the real-world environment they use every day.
Receiving rehabilitative services at home allows physical and occupational therapists to understand how clients move through their actual living environment and identify practical ways to make daily activities safer and more manageable. This may include balance and mobility training, fall-risk assessment and prevention, transfer practice, strategies for bathing, dressing, grooming, and household routines, recommendations for adaptive equipment or home modifications, and caregiver education.
