At-Home Physical Therapy

Adaptive Physical Therapy, a subsidiary of Adaptive Homecare, provides personalized physical therapy in the comfort and convenience of home. Our physical therapists work one-on-one with clients to restore strength and function, improve mobility and balance, reduce pain, and help clients remain active and independent.

Receiving physical therapy at home allows treatment to be tailored not only to the client’s health and mobility needs, but also to the environment they navigate every day. Therapists can address real-world challenges such as walking safely through the home, managing stairs, getting in and out of bed or a chair, and using mobility devices with confidence.

Services may include:

  • Post-surgical and orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Strengthening and therapeutic exercise
  • Balance, gait, and mobility training
  • Fall-risk assessment and prevention
  • Range-of-motion and flexibility exercises
  • Pain management
  • Transfer and functional mobility training
  • Education and training in the use of mobility devices and medical equipment
  • Treatment of neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and stroke

At-Home Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists help clients maintain or regain the skills needed to safely and independently manage everyday life at home. Care is tailored to each client’s abilities, goals, routines, and living environment, with a focus on making daily activities safer, easier, and more manageable.

Because therapy takes place in the home, occupational therapists can identify challenges as they occur in the client’s actual environment and develop practical, individualized solutions to support independence and quality of life.

Services may include:

  • Support with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Strategies for safely completing household and daily routines
  • Home-safety assessment and fall prevention
  • Recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications to the home environment
  • Upper-extremity strengthening, coordination, and range of motion
  • Energy conservation and activity-pacing strategies
  • Cognitive strategies to support memory, organization, and everyday functioning
  • Caregiver education and training
